Merry Christmas from St. Alban's

This year we have adopted 2 family's for Christmas. There are tags on the Christmas Tree in the Parish hall with items requested by both families.  Please deliver the items you have purchased by December 18th. We will be delivering the items to SOS on Monday December 19. 

UPDATE:    The gift boxes are all packed and ready to be loaded on a truck and taken to the reservation.  The will be given to the children of the community on December 14th.  Please keep all those involved in your prayers as we all work together to help others have a blessed Christmas.

 

St. Alban's, together with the Cooperating Churches of Sussex, will be collecting, packing and sending Christmas gifts for the children of the Wanblee Community of the Pine Ridge Reservation. St. Alban's will host a packing party on November 16th to pack gifts for sending to Pine Ridge. Suggested items: 

2 pair warm socks (2-4yr olds child medium size, 5-7yr old child large size, 8-10yr olds Small/medium adult size, 11-13yr olds large adult size)Most of the children on the reservation are large for their age.

Reading books, picture books for younger children

Activity books, puzzles, craft items, sketch pads, etc.                                      

Small notebooks, pencils with sharpeners, stickers, tattoos, crayons, scissors, etc.

Inexpensive toys – card games, Rubik cubes, hacky sacks, beanie babies.

No cowboys & Indians, No violent items (toy guns, swords, etc.)  No electronic toys.

Monetary donations are always welcome.  Please make checks payable to Redeemer UCC, be sure to note Pine Ridge in the memo.
