Neighbors Helping Neighbors

Welcome and thank you for visiting St. Alban’s website. Maybe you came here because you are “church shopping”. Maybe you came here because you were just surfing the web. No matter what brought you here; you are most welcome and we appreciate the time you spend with us.

St. Alban’s is a parish of the Episcopal Diocese of Milwaukee, located in the Village of Sussex, Wisconsin. St. Alban’s was founded in 1842, but don’t let our age fool you. We are an active, vibrant and welcoming Christian community of men, women and children, who seek to follow the teachings and example of Jesus Christ through worship of God, service to neighbor and formation for spiritual growth. As Episcopalians, we are members of the world-wide Anglican Communion, the third largest Christian denomination in the world, which is part of Christ’s One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. As Anglicans, we are Catholic and Protestant; reformed and reforming; faithful and seeking; contemplative and active.

We offer two services each Sunday: 7:45 and 10:00 AM. The 7:45 AM service is a quiet, contemplative, said service. The 10:00 O’clock service is a family friendly service including music. A nursery for small children is available during the 10:00 O’clock service.

No matter who you are; gender, race, social or economic background, sexual orientation or marital status; God has a deep and abiding love for you. So, whoever you are or wherever you may be on you spiritual journey; we invite you to find a place of welcome, fellowship and spiritual growth here at St. Alban’s. We are grateful for your visit to our website and invite you to worship with us soon.

At St. Alban’s we strive to grow in our relationship with God, both as individuals and as church. A key part of that growth is Christian formation/education. Christian formation is a lifelong process of learning, developing and growing, which includes education for both children and adults. But true Christian Formation is actually more than merely a process of learning and acquiring knowledge or information. It involves forming us as disciples of Jesus Christ and equipping us to “do the work (he has) given us to do; to love and serve (God) as faithful witnesses of Christ our Lord.” BCP pg. 366.

Our Christian formation/education hour is held September –May and begins at 9:00 AM, between the two services.

St. Alban's is an Episcopal Church in the Episcopal Diocese of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  We are a lively, enthusiastic congregation joyfully living our Mission From God through community, outreach, formation, and worship.  Together we are proud to honor where we come from, together we are living as God's beloved day by day, and together we are growing into the future God dreams for us.
